I have a '95 Tacoma w/ a 5 speed. I want to get a console or cupholder for the area just behind the shifter. Its about 7in x 9 in. Anyone have any ideas on what I can put there?

there was a guy on facebook who was selling a little 3D printed thing to go in there. sadly I think he sold his truck and left the group as I wasn't able to get a response from him. I did take screenshots of his designs and think it's a good idea because it seems to clip on rather than requiring you to drill holes in your plastic parts but I don't know how to re-create something similar in modeling software even though my friend has a working 3D printer. maybe someone else knows!

Thats perfect. Didnt much think about using a 3D printer. I have a modeling software and that design doesnt look crazy complicated. Might have to try it out. I have access to a printer through my school. Will update if I go through with it. Thanks for the idea.

My really crazy idea is to make something like this but with two tabs to allow it to connect to the shifter console, using the factory screws, the way a center console would

Old thread revival, but I've been designing a cupholder for this exact space. Not sure how much interest there is in this.

The trouble with mounting it to the shifter bezel is that you wouldn't be able to slide your seat forward to get to the back of your Xtra cab. It has to be removable, like with a magnet at the base perhaps?
