Tire technology is great these days, it's hard to go terribly wrong with any of them (just don't go cheap off-brand)

There is no finer sticky comp tire than BFG KX Red labels. Maxxis Treps would be my second choice.

MTR used to make a race compound tire and they worked well. The regular MTR works pretty good.

Those look like the OG MTRs so much better than the newer ones.
As far as stickies go Treps aren't nearly as good out here on the east coast as the Super Swamper SX's and then depending on the rig and wheeling style it's a toss up between the red labels and SXs. The sticky mickys do ok out here about like treps. Treps seem to take forever out here to break in and get good compared to the others.

The best off road tire I have used has been the BFG M/T's. It's also the tire I hated the most as it sucked in winter road driving conditions and howled like a banshee on the highway. The tire was so soft that I left rubber on every rock.

Those MT/R's were ~2013 and are no longer produced. :( Had them for 5 seasons until...

    BT.jpg

That was quite the tear. She was proud.

The SX work well...just big. 43"/127 lbs is a lot of tire.

The Treps do have to be worn in to work well. In the black and white image you quoted, those tires are 4 seasons old and barely rounded off.

Bet those are sporty in the ice and snow...

Hunting season they are probably great!! Ever think about buying a tire grooving tool? Put some grooves or sipes in the center lugs...unstoppable.

They do pretty good in mud and snow, corn and bean fields. They are pretty quiet considering the aggressive tread.

That looks good. Yeah, they can't do grooves, just sipes

I like my Kendas. A bit heavy but they've been great so far.

You know, no one has ever talked about putting a taller tire on the drivers side to compensate for taco lean. Like a 33 inch on the driver side and a 32 inch tire on the passenger side :D
