I picked up my new TRD OR on Monday. I traded in my 2019 SR5 DC. So here are a few observations for anyone that is curious about the difference between trim levels and cab options from a daily driver perspective.

    1. Closing the door. I kept thinking I was shutting the seatbelt in the door of the new truck because it sounded less solid then my old truck. I quickly realized the lack of a b pillar was the reason for the sound.

    2. Suspension. Night and day difference. The TRD OR suspension is so much nicer going over the New England spring frost heaves and wash boards.

3.Powet Seat. Definitely worth the upgrade, way easier to dial in and much more comfortable.

4.Android Auto. Why did it take until 2022 for this?

    5. Keyless ignition. No more rummaging through pockets while juggling your Home Depot loot.

These are the practical daily driver differences that I have noticed between the two trucks in the first 100 miles.

I had Android Auto in my old Chevy Silverado. Hated that app so bad. On the Tacoma, it is so user friendly. I had to take back years of cursing the app. Now I realize it was the Chevy….
