    Yes. Open main breaker and close breaker with generator feed. My set up is not a whole house feed, it's 30 amp 240/120 volt. Plenty for critical circuits such as refrigerators, oil burning furnaces, lighting...... If you phase your loads correctly 30 amp accross two legs will satisfy most needs.
