THIS IS WHY THIS SHIT COSTS THIS MUCH.

Because many people like pretty colors and something that looks like it makes more difference than it actually does. The arm material will not make more difference than the other weak links in your truck i.e. weak spindles, c-channel frame, leafs and rack.

There are full blown race trucks with boxed arms with no issues driving full seasons or more on them. Since people that think that way pay more for the fancy looking parts that don’t cost any more to produce than fabbed parts (Kibbe mentioned this himself in a video showing off his new bigger CNC machine recently), they inadvertently drive the prices up for the whole market.

When people make their purchase decisions purely on the assumption that expensive = better, a market is able to bring prices up higher purely based on buyer perception of what creates value.

Yeah this sucks, I got a quote last year from a vendor for the SPC UCAs for around $500. I was finally ready to pull the trigger on them this month but knew they’d have to have gone up since that quote so I reached back out, they are $695 now.

They have had there issues. The original bushings would squeak and bind with no zerks to re-grease. Had two sets of ball joints loosen up and fail, water could get into the boots and wash all the grease out with no zerks. Then the two piece design would crack sometimes. The latest versions have upgraded bushings, ball joint with zerks and a forged 1 piece design.

ive got the 2 pice design but right before they came out with 1 piece so it has xais bushings and upgraded ball joint. Probably why ive never had and issue. My truck is pushed harder than most as well so i am just confused at why others say they have had issues.

Fairly sure Ridgelines are struts and not coilovers, so no UCA.

No idea, so you are most likely right. There are lift kits out there for them. Again no idea what those kits consit of, some kind of spacers I presume.

I wonder why OP ignores the question what UCAs he's running.

He doesn’t have any, that’s why he’s looking. Currently his spindles are held up with fishing line tied around the frame, but the geometry is SPOT ON!

They are junk junk junk, at least when they first came out, perhaps as indicated below they have "improved" their design. But IMO, you only get one chance to make a first impression, and they did not make a good one from what I saw, therefore I'll pass on them. I've personally seen the bushings wallowed out in short time, ball joints fail over and over and over again, and the welds break at the coil bucket connections. Those three reasons are good enough for me never to support SPC ever again, that and I've installed their cam hardware on a friend's truck and those were also complete junk. I had a set of total chaos UCAs from when they first came out, as these SPC UCAs weren't even available back then. Your choices were pretty much TC or camburg.

SPC appears to offer support to customers by offering to replace cheap parts with more cheap parts, but that doesn't fix the design issue. Sure, that theory works for a tool or a non critical vehicle part, but a UCA to continue to be unreliable only to continue to be fed an inferior product is not acceptable business practice.

I haven't read this entire thread, but it would be interesting to find out why others haven't made it for substantially cheaper. Or, for those that believe it should be cheaper, call some of those manufacturers up and ask. I can't see the harm in that. I do think, in general, they're pricey items, but I can't judge on what it takes to make them (upkeep on machines, labor, or fabrication).
There's definitely a market if someone can make them cheaper, as long as they're functional and safe.

OT, but regarding SPC's, I had the newer design and ran into issues pretty quick with their ball joints, bushings, and availability of parts. That said, I still think they're a good product, but for how much they cost now, there's other options to consider. Perhaps nicer looking ones. I switched to TC's and been happy since.

Hmmm I’ve never had a single one of those issues with my SPC arms but again I have the updated BJ and xaxis bushings. I’ve got 50k on the orginal joints that came with arms and they have been through a pretty rough 50k. Not once has anything failed for me. I’m not saying it doesn’t happen I’ve just never had it happen to me. Idk if it was user error or what. I do grease em every time I Offroad the truck as they recommend with the correct grease as well. Can’t speak to the past issues but I’ve never not once had an issue with mine.
