Electical issue, Charging the e-bike while driving.??

I'm really enjoying the Bafang conversion GT Richter e-bike conversion. What a hoot!

So I want to recharge the battery while driving.

Can I just plug in the charger to the bed outlet and toggle the dash switch?

Amps are amps and all that , but I have no clue what the charger draws.

The charger is a UY240 with a 4 amp output rating, In put is 100 -240 watts. Quite a range...

Can it charge while I drive?

 

Maybe.
You'd have to use the 400 watt setting with the truck in Park and running.
Might take a while for a full charge.
Hope you can afford the fuel.

That harness will allow the full 400w even in motion.
