    I have CURT aftermarket hitch.
I just tested the Kuat NV 2.0 2inch hitch bike rack, even at the lowest position, the tailgate still makes contact with the rack when dropped.

Is there a way to relocate the hitch receiver just a bit lower and also retain anti-wobble function? Thanks

    yes, and no

the cleanest way is to use a pair of shorter tailgate cables like these https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000EQ8Y2Q?ie=UTF8

another way is to have a hitch lowering adapter and a clamp in combination
but that way it adds about 3 inches length

I just bought and assembled the Kuat NV 2.0 Base (one step down from OP). I just had the bikes loaded and even dropped it down but forgot to open the tailgate. This is a bit of a bummer as I love the rack. Very solid and does not rattle and takes 15 seconds to load or unload a bike. Also folds up tight to the truck when not in use.

I got nothing as a solution.

Most if not all platforms will interfere with the gate. I have tried my thule t2 classic and my kuat transfer.

After I changed my rear bumper to a 4x Innovation, my hitch mounted bike rack hit the tailgate. I added the Gate King hinges mentioned above & it's been a good solution for me.

Here’s some photos of the extension with the rack.

so nice to be able to sit on the tailgate before and after the ride

Is it me or is this not what a truck bed is for...to haul stuff.
Lumber, bricks, bags of dirt, coolers, camping stuff, and oh yea, bikes...... any manner of 'stuff' .

Tailgate pads are a good option for when the bed is mostly empty. A rack comes in handy for camping or when the bed is full of other stuff.

I have the same issue with my Kuat Transfer. With the tailgate down it hits the inner front tire cradle. Maybe I should shave a bit of the plastic off.
