How much do stock leaf springs settle? 1/4" or 1/2" spacers?

I am trying to figure out what size spacers to put on the front coils to level my 2020 access cab TRD OR. How much do the stock leafs settle? I plan to run stock suspension and just level the front slightly until this suspension is blown out. Right now there is about a 1-1/4" difference with 5500 miles...

on my 2nd gen trd or I put 3rd gen suspension which apparently raised it up almost an inch and added 1/4" spacers on the front. Leveled it nicely. Trying to decide whether to go with the 1/4" again or go with the 1/2". The truck does everything I need it to stock, with the spacers...

I dont need it level, I just want the front end up a little bit. Also ive got airbags and a compressor for when im loaded.

Only thing i can tell is nothing that i can see so far. My 2020 access cab sr5 was perfectly level at the time i took delivery to now at 16k miles.

Depends on the truck and load. I’d think they would be settled within a week or two from install for factory weight. Add constant weight they settle more. They are weak, or at least mine were. I was sagging from factory height with only a cap as were a couple other people I know personally. I added 612-40 sumo springs for a while, then finally upgraded to Deaver stage 2s and eibach coilovers. You can get away with a spacer for factory weight limited off road, but ultimately I you will probably end up with new leaf packs so I’d just skip AAL and blocks, use sumos that can be turned into extended bump stops when you upgrade.

I haven't noticed any settling in the rear springs in 4½ years. I have had a tonneau cover for 4 years.

Why do you want to remove a rake that is purpose engineered?

    Just for looks?

Dare to be different. Keep the rake.

Rake is good if you use it like a truck. Never understood this level look people want :anonymous:

I want my truck level-ish when loaded. I hate a saggy ass - trucks and women.

If you level it then it will look saggy when loaded. You want a 1" rake. IMO a little rake looks good.

Yup. Those of us who do truck stuff with our trucks know better.

My 2001 tundra sat higher in the ass end, but my 2020 tacoma with the tonneau cover was delivered sitting perfectly level....no rake. I 've seen some others the same way and some like the trd with rake. Imo, the late model trd i was following a couple days ago on my dirt road laced with big pot holes now was jumping all over the place as it hit the holes, while i seem to cruise across them more easily...i could hear his rear suspension and bed making all sorts of noise from inside my cab. When we turned onto the main asphalt road i noticed his truck having the ass end higher than the front.
From what i've been noticing these trucks are not tuned the same, nor the front to rear chassis/suspensions heights the same.

Spring settling is an urban legend. That’s not how steel works.
