Greetings from Central Texas. Over the past 17 years, between me and my wife, we've owned 2 Prius, 2 4runners, a Tundra, an FJ and a Rav. I strayed a few years ago during my midlife crisis and ended up in a VW CC then to a Nissan Frontier. I eventually found my way back to the Toyota coven.

Enter my new to me 2014 Tacoma long bed double cab with 91k miles, magnetic grey. It came with Fuel wheels (meh, I'd prefer some graphite TRD wheels but...).

This forum has already been a wealth of information and I look forward to learning even more. 20220409_135739.jpg

I just found this site while searching for information on my new purchased 22 Toyota Tacoma SR5 Access Cab 4x4 . I have seen videos showing the installation of bed lights and saw where some SR5 access cab did not have a switch installed but were prewired? I was told at my dealership that my truck would not have a prewired harness in it?? Can anyone confirm this before I start trying to dig under my dash.

Thank you for the welcome! I got my drivers license in one of my Dad’s Hi-lux pickup many years ago. I have owned a total of 8 Tacoma all but one was 4x4 , we currently have our 22 Camry SE on order that will be our 5th. So I can say we have been a Toyota family for many years.

Hi there. I'm from Central Texas as well - Georgetown to be exact. Your Boston caught my attention. We just had to say goodbye our little man recently. What great dogs. Love your truck - wife and I are looking at new ones now.

Talk about ironic. We had to say goodbye to the little dude in my avatar just last week after 12 awesome years. Lost his housemate about 18 months ago so we're currently without puppy love in the house. Letting go is difficult for sure.

As for the truck; loving it. As soon asni can get rid of the dreaded kazoo/wind noise, I'll love it even more. We'll probably be taking it and our 4runner to a covered parking structure this evening to avoid the forecast hail apocalypse this evening.

Oh man, I am sorry. It is so hard. We just moved back here after several years in the RV on the road. No real friends or close family left here. My wife's BFF passed away a few months ago and she's so lost. She feels like she has nobody to talk to about it. (While also mourning the loss of a dear friend) And, people who haven't been through it just don't get it. It's one of those "if you know... you know" kinda things that dog owners share. Not been the best couple of weeks, but hoping things look up. We still have our senior boxer, but he's pretty sad right now too. Looking at a local boxer rescue at the moment. Maybe we will name the new boy Tundra. Smile.

But, guess I need to bring the discussion back to the truck. Hope to find our perfect one this week or next. Looking at a few certified used ones as well. We have had plenty of pick ups, but always another brand that I shan't name here.
