    Looks like the water has finally come to a stop this morning. This is the small pump that sits on the floor with a garden hose attached. It was pumping the water from one side of basement into the sump hole . I think I need one more large concrete pad down there and I will call it done . Obviously water will find its way in . My floor down there is at the same level as the flood plain across the road only a 100’ away . You think whoever built this house in the 50s would have put footing drains around the foundation. Virtually impossible now and would cost more money than I care to spend . It is what it is . After a lot of rain you can float a boat in that field across from my driveway.

    I had to order a hi-lift jack, mounts, traction boards, fire extinguisher and a first aid kit for the truck. One of them thar conservation officers took an interest in the Taco yesterday during beach wheeling and informed me I needed these things. There was no summons involved, but a warning that he would check next time he saw me.
