So, I’m already pretty deep into this build. I have taken tons of pictures along the way, I will do my best to post updates daily from the beginning.

It started life as basically a bone stock 2008 4 years ago.

    934 CV’s from JD fabrication

    Suspension & Steering

    Everything is JD Fab.
    +4 front
    SUA with Deaver H70HD
    Lower pivots
Slide rack with double shear outers
    Gusseted spindles and UCA’s
    Howe TC pump
    King 2.5x8 coilovers
    King 2.5x8 Free bleed bypasses
    King 2x2 bump stops
    King 2.5x14 free bleed bypasses

On day 1 of pulling it in, the front tear down and prep for the JD inner fenders began.

With the inner fenders out of the picture, this seemed like the best time to weld the bypass mounts and UCA gussets in. Then it was time to start fitting the inner fenders. This took a crazy amount of time to get them in the correct position.

The inner fender positioning directly impacts how your body panels fit back together when it’s done, so Taking your time is a requirement. It was an even bigger challenge for me as I was converting body styles at the same time.

Are you using a 2nd or 3rd gen radiator support?

Cool. No issues with headlight fitment then? I wasn't sure what sort of differences there would be between the two.

no issues with headlight fitment. But only one mount on the 3rd gen headlights bolts up to the core support. You have to build the rest.

The next step was installing the front suspension to cycle things and find the best position on the lower pivots. I also did the 934 frame notch at this time.

Once the front suspension was cycled and the bump stops were setup, I then began fitting panels. The conversion is decently straight forward, but does require a decent bit of fab work when you get up to the grill and headlights. I will cover this later on.

This is not a conversion kit. These are actually panels meant to be put on a 17+. McNeil offers a conversion but the glass was not wide enough for my needs. So I ended up going the hard route.

I am not done, but I am way further along than what I have posted so far. Hoping to have this thread caught up to current state in a few more days.
