I was debating how to deal with vehicle access when I ski... I've decided to do the following:

    1. Disable the fob by holding down the lock button, and pressing the unlock button twice. (The fob will blink-blink, pause, then blink-blink again, and will not open the door.
    2. Leave the fob in the truck. Lock the truck.
    3. Take my tailgate key with me. I have this armband pass-holder pouch thing with both velco pouch and zipper pouches. I keep some cash, some ID (for apres-ski), and maybe a credit card in it. Keep the armband on my arm, under my gear. If I lose the key, then I've lost my arm, and have bigger problems.

I was considering one of those tailgate lock pouch things, but fear then a quick drop in temperature could ice it up, and I wouldn't be able to open it...

That stance looks really nice. What wheels and tires did you go with size/offset wise? I’m leaning towards 280/285 and the -17 scs wheels with a -10 offfset.

Sadly I don't think you're wrong. Then again, when everything goes EV you won't have any use for a traditional gearbox to speak of. Even a two speed transmission will be rare. I just wish we could get an EV that looked good, handled well, wasn't 1,000lbs+ overweight, and didn't have an ADAS-first design focus.

Hopefully when we come back to the mainland my wife and I can start building the 7,000sqft garagemahal we've been designing. Then I can get down to work building the vehicles that the industry won't. Like maybe an EV fourth gen K 1500, maybe even an old CUCV. Or EV rail-buggy.

I would be interested to see the plans for Garagmahal!!! I have a kernel of a plan for my own that will happen when we move in a few years. Mine will house all of my play things, including a mountain bike repair area, and a full on stage for my bands to practice on, as well as maybe host small shows...

Raised her up today. Hoping to keep some caster without sacrificing camber. Driving it on to the rack shortly!20220411_114831.jpg

Installed new 24F AGM battery and battery hold down kit to replace my original 2016 OEM battery (edit: rear j bolt has been cut).

Also installed Kicker KS 3-Ways in the front doors about a week ago (already have Subaru Kicker KS tweeters in dash). They sound great!

Factory head unit? If so, which one? (JBL / non-JBL)? Any other mods to the sound system? (outside of what you write here?)

For those of you who have replaced the bed side decals, I want to go to all black, after the install are there just individual letters left or a large clear covering over everything

Factory head unit (non-JBL). No other sound system modifications and no plans to swap head units or add amps anytime soon which is why I went with the Kicker KS series...they are a bit more sensitive and seem to do better with lower wattage factory head units.

Those are the supplied in-line crossovers which you have to splice into the factory adapters. All you need is wire strippers/crimpers...everything else was supplied via Kicker/Crutchfield.

it depends. oem will be one large decal, if you buy off etsy or other places a lot of them are individual letters...

Finished up the clazzio PVC seat covers. Added the eBay seat warmers with the rocker switch that installs in the dash and looks stock. I did the back and bottom just didn’t take a pic of that. Have not wired them up yet.
