2nd gen bucket

Has anyone seen a 2nd gen access cab with a bench seat? I was able to get a first gen bench off a 2001 but the alignment from the two are nowhere even close. I was going to rip the interior out and do a needed deep clean anyways but I’d have to pull up the carpet to look for other mounting positions.

yes it’s probably not the best idea to swap between such different years but surely someone has to have done something similar?

 

Nope, haven't seen one.

You want a used bench assembly from a 2nd gen reg cab. Later years (09-15?) will have side airbags which will make the swap less complicated - otherwise you'll have to solder in some resistors to keep that pesky SRS light off.

Thanks! I am not sure if I could find someone to swap between gens and I would lose the cup holders/center console but I took them out while working on the radio recently and really like the more open feel. Just gotta decide if it’s worth not being able to drink anything or put anything away anywhere.

Thanks for the info. I was able to get my hands in on an 08 seat but like you said the indicators will go off. Do you possibly know where I could get my hands on the wiring diagram or where the resistors will need to go?

 

Looking for info on this as well. Just put in leather bucket seats that do not have srs bags, so air bag light is on.
