Oh man dont get me started. I remember going home after work, to work on tiling our shower until midnight, for like a week. On top of installing the concrete board, shluter water barrier… It was all worth it in the end.

But, even subbing some of this stuff doesnt leave me off the hook. Plumber did a half ass job with some of the pex routing. Ill have to break out my crimper and fittings. Maybe I am too particular.

That would be my issue with subbing out work, I know I cam do a lot of it myself and I'd be super particular (as you should be honestly, you're paying good money). A new bathroom is a beautiful thing though...

Oh, good call. Forgotten all about that place. I'd been there with my brother but not my wife. Lots of interesting music memorabilia.
Not taking Clark though, he's dead to me...

I really cant wait. It will be great moving on from a peach colored toilet and sink, and multiple layers of linoleum floor.

I do admit I am looking forward to not having to do a bunch of the work. I spent the entire last fall working on the deck and didnt get much time to hang with my son because every free minute was devoted to the project. I am happy another project wont be digging into my time with him, and our three month old girl.

@CTSpruceMica if your heading home towards 84, id also recommend J Timothys Tavern. Some of the best wings in the state.

I mean it was starting to look like a pattern; I’m just saying! Haha.

He’s a great guy though and still gave you solid recommendations aside from Subway.

Also I just did the drive from NYC back home to Mass yesterday and I’m not a fan of CT; the 95 to 91 travel is such a pain.

Always a pita. And always a gamble; meritt/wilbur cross vs 95.

I used to go to Westchester NY one day a week for work. I went as far as adjusting my schedule to leave the house at 4 aiming to be in the office at 6 to be back on the road and on my way home at 2:30 to avoid the worst of the traffic. I don't miss that trip at all.

I'm in eastern CT, so I take 44 and then 218 through Bloomfield to 291. But I have been there, and yeah those wings are unbelievably good.

Just came back from visiting my parents in lower Westchester, 95 is a dumpster fire in its entirety and I do everything in my power to avoid it. I usually end up taking the taconic up to 84 and ride that the whole way

What’s up everyone been a minute since I’ve posted and hope all is well! Been working on my build getting ready for the season and wanted to share. Getting ready for the 35’s and relocating the the cab mount thanks to DRT. Then it’s off to get geared, thank god! But all I all an adventure for sure!

My belated $.02. I used to go to LaSalle Market in Collinsville fairly regularly on Friday nights. Lot of talented musicians on the open mic showcasing their skills. No fine dining but they do have good grub. Like a lot of joints they were on hiatus due to Covid so haven't been there in a couple of years. Got to get off my azz & get back in the groove.

While true, a large bathroom is more stuff to do though. Mine is bigger than my bedroom..
