    Hi Guys ,
I am new to post in here so pardon my ignorance .

I am looking to buy a 2020 SR5 or an off-road 2wd since here in Texas there is
no need for 4x4 really , for me the look of the off-road is taller than the sr5 but Toyota
state that is the same height is the wheel well different or is just the rim and tire that make it
look like it have more room on the off-road . Also the difference in price is about 4~6k for the off-road I am not planning in any major upgrade than the wheels ,tires ,grill ,fog light. do you recommend go with the SR5 or the off-road .

    thanks in advance .

SR5, if you don't need 4WD then you probably don't need the other benefits of OR (suspension, crawl control, Locking rear differential, etc). Also, they have the same height, its probably just the airdam removal (under the front bumper) that makes it look higher to you, which you can easily remove with a few bolts in about 5min from the SR5. Think of all the upgrades you could do to your SR5 with an extra $4-6k

They should be about the same height. The OR will come with a couple of bells and whistles stock such as the electronic locking rear dif. Drive both and decide which you like more. I don't really think the suspension is worth the upgrade, and it sounds like you won't use the locker. If I were you I would save your money (coming from someone who sprung for the 4x4 TRD OR and do love it.)

They’re both the same height, same size tires, same wheel well space. Does a 2wd Off Road have $4-6K worth of extra features over an SR5? In my opinion, no, but some will disagree. You mainly get the rear locker (which if you don’t need 4x4, I doubt you’ll be needing that either), different shocks that are worth maybe $100 more for the whole set, and cosmetic stuff like black fender flares, black headliner, bed side stickers, etc…

it's really just push to start and e-locker that are the biggest differences. with the money you save you can add an air locker and be better off.

even the TRD LED headlights can be added later with an aftermarket harness.
