I just installed the dakars on my 2015 and I had a noticeable bro lean. I added a 1/2 inch HS shim and still the rear is 1/2 inch lower than the front. So, my question is, should I remove the 1/2 shim and add a 1 inch block? Or do guys know of some better options to get 1/2 inch with the shim or a full inch without it?

When you torqued the bolts was the truck on the ground?

Is the shim on the front or rear?

Is the front lifted or stock?

I have a 2015 with the regular duty Dakars (elo95r) and have the same lean. Best advice is learn to love it

    naw, bro. fix that shit.

    AAL?

i have the older Dakars and 2.5" 3" lift and she was ass up for a while but ended up fairly level after a few years (rack + RTT). added AAL and got the back raked up again. did you do too much on arm day?

    maybe some flat leafs?

AAL may be too much. If I remove the shim, I need 1 inch to be leveled with the front, AAL is 1.5 I believe.

Oops I thought he meant the driver's side lean. My bad.

If it's the rake he's concerned about then yeah, get the proper leafs/blocks/AAL until you get how you want it

When I put in my Medium duty OME pack, there was a “+” and “o” on either pack, the “+” on the drivers side. Look for them near the front of the pack. YMMV

the 4" maxtrac spindles + lift coils are bringing the front a lot higher than the rear

Yes, the front lift was done first, like a couple of years ago.

You might be better off bringing the front down to match what you have in the rear.

Would be the best option. Adding a block to the rear does not perform the best. Lowering the front will improve ride quality, more down travel, less stress on CV boots and ball joints.

Sounds reasonable. But I don't even have the original coils anymore and money is kind of tight for buying more parts and dealing with alignment. But I will keep it in mind.

For some reason thought you had adjustable coilovers.

aren't billies adjustable - 1, 2, or 3? i want to say most folks set in the middle. if OP's set to the most lift this could be the cause of excessive rake.

if no adjustment is made up front and only the back is messed with AAL may put you up to high but two things 1) it will settle, and 2) much better to be ass up than nose up.

as i wrote this i recall a thread about folks that prefer bro lift. ban them. ban them all.

They are graduated to zero. The OME 883 gives 1.5 to the prerunner.
