    This is helpful for me. I’m trying to find a lift/suspension that allows me to fit 285/17/70s and 17 inch wheels without and running.

    I'm about to install Fox 2.5 coilovers with 1.25 spidertrax spacers. Trying to figure out the best tire size. 285/75/16 looks like the way to go. Did you have to do any trimming and do you have any tire rubbing offroad? Also how did your ride and fuel economy change? Do you feel it needs to be re-geared now? Thanks.

    I’m having buyers remorse lol. I got some 265-75-16 Nitto RG, love them

    but wish I had waited to get wheels and tires together bc most wheels I like are in 17 it seems and it seems to have more tire options.

    didn’t want to run an e tire so got the sl

    I was torn between going with 285/75/16 and 265/75/16. I knew that I would kick myself if I did not go with 285's. I agree there are so many better options for tires choices in 17's. Especially if you are not looking into an E rated tire. I do not mind my heavy E rated tires. After about a week or two you do not notice any difference besides mpg. They killed it off roading this past weekend.

    thanks, I love this truck. Kinda wish it had the black trim but oh well, she’s still purrdy and a beast. Was super lucky to be able to find it in a long bed too. I don’t know if it’s been lifted or anything but it sits pretty high or if it’s just cause the 17in wheels and bigger tires making it sit higher?

    From the pictures you posted it looks lifted. I love my longbed. You could paint the trim to look black. I have seen good results using Plastidip on the trim. If you want to take pics of the front and back suspension and post on here. I'm sure we could tell you what lift you have.
