Thanks, I picked up the trailer as a utility trailer from a friend. Upgraded the axle to support the 6x5.5 wheels so I could share with my truck. It was in pretty good shape but I did want to add some additional support to the tongue and swap the 2" ball for a pintle hitch. So I had a local fabricator weld an a-frame on the tongue and take off the bolt on 2" hitch and weld on a pintle. The rack had been on my truck and just moved it to the trailer and picked up the new tongue box from harbor freight. Also added drop down legs to stabilize it when parked.
Left to do, lighting and electric and replace the wood floor with aluminum diamond plate. Also need to put together a rack for my awning that is adjustable height. Still a bit bouncy so I may add shocks in addition to the leaf springs.

    Oh look, another mod....
Looks great! I've seen other popup trailers like this before. You should put a slide out camp kitchen at the back of the trailer.

Thanks, I am considering the slide out kitchen. However, I am in line for a Super Pacific camper, should be ready around Nov/Dec. I stumbled on this trailer that was close to workable, super cheap and just needed to be shored up for off roading so I figured I would tinker with it and see how it worked out. Assuming I don't change my mind on the Super Pacific will probably strip this back down to a utility trailer next spring or sell it loaded up with all of the gear.

Got it out on it's first trip the weekend before last. I did not do any off-roading, just wanted to get a chance to road test it. Tracked straight and pulled smooth, dropped tire pressure down from 33 to 24 which made it stop bouncing around so much. Decided to also upgrade my tent and found a clearance deal on GoFSR.com on the Odyssey series 49". I like the side entry and how it will work with the lower height of the trailer.

Next step is to weld on the rest of the fender kickouts up front. Also going to move the tongue box forward and move the tire from inside the trailer to mounted in front on the tongue.

I also added the lighting just before the trip which was awesome. I used KC cyclone puck lights on the side and led strips under the tent. Going to add 4 more cyclone lights as soon as the mounts come in from rago fabrication. The LED strips were nice because I could control them from bluetooth. I left them on set to red most of the time which was perfect for crawling out of bed at 3 AM to use the restroom.
