    Hey what's up everyone,
I am completely new to truck/suv modifying.
    In the past I've only modded sports cars (S2000, C6 Z06, C7 Z06, Civic Type-R, etc)
I have a 2020 Tacoma TRD Off-Road coming in a few days and I'm doing an overland build for my father.

I've ordered basically everything I need minus the suspension. I have SPC UCA on the way but need to figure out which leveling kit, lift kit, or coilovers to run to minimizing rubbing the TE37XT 17x8.5 -10 w/ 285/70. He does mostly dirt trails. Nothing crazy.

Here's a pic of the truck coming and the parts list.

The items in bold are the remaining pieces left to order.

Also some pics of my Type-R I am building.

That’s a fun favour to do for your father.

if it’s being used for actual off-road consider proper sliders instead of Toyota steps.

would the truck be used for technical stuff off-road or more of a cool looking rig to take to state parks?

He goes on light trails in the mountains and does a lot of camping/hiking. About 2-3 times a week he has a group of friends that all go together. He's been all over the mountains in north Georgia, but now he will be even more equipped to hit the trails and have more fun.

I'm ordering the Toyota black step boards to replace the ones in the photo that is currently on the car. Is that what you mean?

The Toyota step boards are for getting in and out and also keep road debris from going up the side of the truck as much. What he is referring to is rock sliders which protect the rocker panels/sheet metal of the lower side of the truck against more extreme off roading where big rocks can overcome the break over angle of the Tacoma.
