I was actually surprised mine was intact, first big set in 18 months that wasn't missing anything.
Take inventory, build as many sub assemblies as you can, keep them in their numbered bags and make sure you're not missing anything else. My missing brick for my truck took about 10 days to get here.

I can't really go forward since the piece I need gets buried by other assemblies.

you can still build the sub assemblies, just dont attach them to the main model. makes it easier to take inventory.
    what part are you missing?

I just have to share this little gem I built last night. Set 555 from 1975 or 76, 10 years before I was born.

This was one that came home with me over christmas but i didnt built at that time since it wasnt one I put together as a kid. This was one my mom bought at a yard sale some time in my teenage years. I know I built it once before, but just not as special to me as the others I posted and played with.

Nevertheless, I thought it was cool this thing is still mostly complete after 47 years and how far things have come to the modern stuff you guys are putting together. The figures do not have faces, or hands, or bending legs or arms.

I looked ahead and since its part of the wheel folding mechanism I cannot do so. I've got other stuff I can do while I wait. its not the end of the world

    Just the basics
That hospital set is neat. I remember having a few of those figures before the mini-figures were made. I also had an old Apollo set that had taller figures with arms that were made of linkages.

So I was watching Gold Rush - Winters Fortune the other day while enjoying some adult beverages and saw Tony Beets with his new D11. And then this happened...
