I haven't done cast iron pizza for a few months. You've reminded me to do one this coming Friday.

I finally had a pizza margarita. I don't see what all the hype is about. Maybe try it again at another place but this was a high end italian restaurant.

    Was the margherita DOP certified?

No hype just simple deliciousness in my opinion but people sometimes don’t like the same things and that’s ok lol

It’s not about the taste but the history of where it came from. The pure simpleness of it....the taste is a bonus.

This is a pizza from Johnnys Pizza House, a chain in Louisiana. It’s called “Sweep The Swamp”. It has shrimp, crawfish, crabs, onions, Andouille sausage, bell peppers, Cajun spices and of course the cheese and tomato sauce.

To be honest, I’ve always thought their pizza was just OK. Neither bad, nor good, but edible. I was shocked when I had the Sweep the Swamp. It was delicious!!!

I recently traveled to NYC and never passed a pizza place without stopping to grab a slice. I found a couple of places in Brooklyn that were fantastic.
