Another piece of the 20" carry handle master race rifle came home today

FN barrel, re pop green triangle handguard

Slick side colt carry handle upper in the safe waiting with an old A2 stock

Probably gonna bastardize it with a modern anodized black GGP lower because I have spares and don't particularly want to spend retro correct lower money

I will for the most part, but the lower won't be just right

I have a stack of stripped lowers waiting for various projects I decide I want to try...I'd rather use one of those than wait for a Brownells retro slab come back in stock or pay stupid money on GB for a proper aged one

Removed the CTR stock and installed a regular milspec stock. Wish I would of kept my Colt N1 stock.

As much as I love modern manufacturing and how far the AR platform has come (thanks to civilian innovation) the Classics are classic for a reason.

Not a fan of the pistol receiver extension, SBA3 brace is going back on.

Been wanting to build an AR pistol but I’m going to wait for the final brace ruling I think

For me, I feel like the 5” extension would be good for shooting from the hip only.

I have an AR9 pistol now. If I have to remove the brace I’ll just wrap the extension tube with fo or something. I don’t shoulder the brace now anyway. A 556 pistol though I may want or need to occasionally shoulder so I guess we will see

This is what I wrapped mine with, not sure if they still sell it or not. It’s been in the cabinet for years.

    Here it is: https://www.midwayusa.com/product/3219167905?pid=817557
