Given the stock-ish tire size (as opposed to heavy 38s on beadlocks) I blame this on GTA roads being tougher than the Australian Outback

This is the OME shock I installed with @Snail81 two years ago. The lower bushing is already shot on both of them:

Nice i’ve only done a couple enduro races and loved it. Kinda want to try it again.

Ah man, you’re in for it. Of all my injuries my back is the only one i regret. (So far)
Been about 8-9 years and i still feel it.

I was jr A in TVR and raced transcan a few times but I quit racing bout 6 years ago when i broke both legs at the same time. Traded in my yz250 for my yz125 and ride faster now than i did when i raced lol

Got a 3/8x12" pin punch as part of Powerfist 8548372 kit for adjusting the Icon coilovers. It gives about 50% more leverage than the Icon P/N 198000 spanner while being easier on the hands. A pipe can be slipped over the handle if more leverage is needed.

If I had an adjustable suspension I think I'd jack it up first then adjust it. Maybe just to get some force off the spring. I'd be afraid of stripping the threaded body of the shock.

It's very much necessary to jack up the truck to adjust the spring collar. Even then there's so much friction that I have a hard time turning the collar with the short Icon spanner. That and the UCA need to be in droop to clear the space around the collar.

The Fox spring collar holes are 0.300, which isn't a standard size. A 1/4" (0.250) punch is too sloppy. I would either sand down the tip of a 5/16" (0.312) punch to 0.300, or find a 9/32" (0.281) tapered punch. I'm just surprised you can even adjust the Foxes in situ, because they have the split collar with a pinch bolt, so the collar can flex and jump threads more easily.

That's just theory. Even with pinch bolt loose and spanner wrench, it is difficult enough to turn the collar that taking it out for adjustment seems a much better option.
If you have access to a lift and spring compressor, of course

I remember doing some of this for a friend and I was so unsure if those threaded bodies would strip or cross thread so we just keep, if i can remember correctly, removing the spring, so disassembling and re assembling, what a pain, but in the end we got the 4 runner within a 1/4" difference at all corners.

You don't need to disassemble the spring for that but compressing while the coilover is out of the truck helps a lot.
Stripping threads was on my mind as well when I did this...

Just stand next to someone else's truck and be confident. We'll never know it's not yours.

Stand next to one of the 70-series Land Cruisers for extra hipster points. Bonus hipster points if the cab is in troop carrier configuration.

That must be an old pic. Could be bit more of a challenge to adjust with a little rust on the threads.

as long as the grub screw is loosened it works just fine, yes 1/4" is sloppy, but the depth of the hole is enough to let the pin "grab" or wedge itself from side to side and it twists with little issue.

in regards of the grub screw afterwards, as long as you can tighten it :notsure:. sure it wont be nanometer precision as to what side of the truck is higher, but overall i just keep the grub screw facing the outside of the truck if i ever need to fuck with it. a full rotation isn't a huge difference due to the threads being so fine.

Yeah that photo was when i installed it. I never had hope to begin with that i'd ever be able to adjust it ever again.
