I'll be happy with just one building.

You never know when you need a spare.

Said no guy ever: "I built this damn garage too big, I wish it was smaller".

Mine seems to shrink as the years go by. :notsure:

A little something every chance we get.
Well, @Travlr , it's not a pole barn, but I ended up spending the day on my little workbench area. I did the two or three things before I planned to start repotting, and needed to get an errand out of the way. Then the glass guy said he would stop by, but the wife handled it. It's in "we'll see" if I get a quote status. Then I needed one more thing off the work bench, and was so disgusted with all the crap I seem to have on it, I changed horses midstream. There is no before picture. It was disgusting. So, here it is in the middle.....dirty.

    20220418_140502.jpg

Let's just say, the stuff went somewhere, or to the trash. Then I moved more stuff around so I could recycle two of the old storage bins. Cleaned and mounted them JUST above the bench (which is on rollers). My noble concept being that the parts and pieces I am actually using on a given project can go in the bins during the project, and then move to actual storage. And parts won't fall off the back. That's the concept anyway.

    20220418_165256.jpg

Oh, yeah. The bins I have now started to call the "are you freaking kidding me? bins" got done Friday, or Saturday. I swapped big and small easy enough, then picked up the 4'th storage cabinet.
Then, I discovered when I closed the door, ALL the little bins started to slide out. So, instead of the few big parts spilling, I could have lots of small parts!
So, I made a little back brace to tilt them upwards. That still didn't fix it.
But, I figured I could make a little acrylic door - light, simple and should do the trick.
Then I mounted the 4th cabinet, aaaand, the door won't close - cabinet hits shelf bracket.
So, I removed them all from the door, and lowered them all 1 1/2" - otherwise, they will hit crates at the bottom. Still tilted, drawers still try to fall out.
So, I made my doors, epoxied magnets to the cabinets and doors, aaaannnd, the epoxy failed. Found some old Liquid Nails. It's working, but I will still have to tweak it.

The shop on the ranch was 40 x 80 and was plenty big. This little shop might get tight, but I'm pretty good about not acquiring stuff that will have no use.

Soon as you get rid of it, you'll have a use for it. Anything, not clearly garbage, I clear out goes out to my friends cabin. More chance of it being used there, and if I come across an application at the house in town, I know where to go find it. ;)

Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
Woke up to about the same but with 3/4" of snow! Gladly, the snow melted by about noon, even though it snowed most of the day. Still, feels more like mid-March than mid-April.

Dog had to piss. Why do I even try to sleep?

Mid 40's. Dryish. Raining like crazy 9PM or so.

Passed framing inspection. Tongue and groove roofing goes up today., screwed down. I need to re-run a 120V circuit in the shop. Take a nap.

So a little off wrench project the other day.
Have two fly rods I use occasionally and they usually just lie secured on my deck.
Have no way to protect them during vehicle transport.
I have had this rod/reel holder for years but never used it cause I hate disassembling them.
My #4 is a two piece and way to long to be stored. My #8 is a 4 piece.

So a few pieces of pvc

It’s not great however, at least I can make both rods a 2 piece and put them in for transport.

Good morning fellow Porchatonians!! 2+ inches of wet snow so far and still going. This one is a tree branch buster. Power dropped off 4 times so far but has come right back on. Welcome to Spring in northeast PA.

I went to the website. Seems like a nice operation. The ham should have been tasty. I did notice there was no mail order, sigh. I have had great results with Huntsport Meats and Creekstone Farms for mail order. All the products I have ordered were high quality with quick shipping and packaged well. Porter Road not so much. One day I will splurge for Snake River Farms.

Well done, your finished vision of the building was spot on.:thumbsup::bowdown::bowdown:

    Truth!

Yesterday went a lot better than expected. I see better out of the right eye today, but I still have a way to go. Rested all day yesterday and will do the same today. Everyone have a great day.
