Going to Nashville for an extended weekend at the end of April and looking for recommendations from locals on "actual cool things to do".

I've done all the big music related stuff (Country Music Hall of Fame, Ryman, Grand Ole Opry, etc).

Are there smaller or more intimate country music experiences to be had? Local open mic nights, small local bands playing at holes in the wall, local breweries doing regular blue grass nights (Raleigh had "Local Band Local Beer" nights every Thursday night), etc?

    Thanks y'all!

    Yeppers,

Music-Springwater(no it is not a supper club) oldest bar in TN and local bands, Bluegrass jam at Station Inn Sunday nights. Bourbon Street Blues and Boogie bar check their schedule if Stacy Mitchhart is playing you will not be disappointed located in Printers Alley-Skulls Rainbow room for dinner if you are down there. More music info here https://www.thrillist.com/entertainment/nashville/best-music-venues-nashville.

Breweries Bearded Iris, Southern Grist, Monday Night, Smith and Lentz these I recommend. Here is some more https://nashville.eater.com/maps/best-nashville-breweries-beer-tennessee.

I will be at the Sweetwater 420 fest in Atlanta the last weekend in April otherwise I would meet up for a beer(s)

Skull's Rainbow Room - great food and they have Burlesque shows. Tip: Make your dinner reservations late enough that you'll get seats for the Burlesque show for free.

Rudy’s Jazz room is pretty unique and awesome. I like Bootleggers inn. One of the few old time bars. Tour of the Ryman and catch a show if you can.
