That ham was something different. Somewhere between a juicy ham and succulent pork roast. So tender, amazing. We just went over and she got it out of her shack sized fridge. We have bought a decent amount of pork from them. I must say I've never had a better pork chop. Amazing. Their meat is not cheap though.

Ha. I didn't even know no mail order, but knowing them and seeing the operation, I can see why. Let me put it this way: I can hear the large pigs from my property up the hill when they holler really loud. Most of the time hear nothing and no smell, thank goodness. They are a pretty small operation. The wife does most, seems like the husband/guy is building a store/house above unit under construction for over a year. Good people. We asked them if it's OK to hike across their property, they encouraged it as it's not legal to walk the private airstrip on the south border owned by another couple (also really nice folks)

Only ham I ever mail ordered was from AB Vannoy in West Jefferson N Carolina. THAT was a real dry country ham. Completely different piece of meat. That's a tale for a different post.

    Morning all:

They were calling for 2-4" of snow in our area, turned out to be just rain.

Hoping all turns out well with the eye Tom, sounds like so far so good!

    :pccoffee: Good Morning Porch Peoples!
God luck with the eye, Tom.
I love PVC projects, Mike. Yours looks useful, compared to many of mine. PVC aisle used to be like a candy store - until the new prices...
Guess I should do what I didn't do yesterday, huh? OK. I will. Our wind and humidity is coming back, so I have to fold down the umbrellas again. They haven't been open much this year.

Ken, Thank You. I am doing well this morning. I was tired yesterday and did not do much. Eyesite is getting better each day. I was amazed that the cataract was causing my vision to have a pale yellow/amber tint. The right eye everything looks vivid and bright white. The left eye has the tint color. The change is so gradual you do not notice it over time.

Thank You. The pond people were out yesterday and this morning the pond is low on water. There is a leak somewhere. I called them but I am troubleshooting the leak. First step is to determine if the leak is in the liner. That will take about an hour. I have already started that process. The second step is to determine if the leak is in the line from the pump to the filter, the filter to the waterfall, or in the filter itself. Oh the joy of pond ownership.

Thank You. So far I am impressed with the process.

Today is pond work, Oh Joy, and smoking a TriTip steak for dinner.

    Good morning fellow Porchatonians!!

Been down for the count the past few days - must have managed to pick something up on the trip to Florida. Lynn's been a bit off as well - but we've both tested negative for Covid. Been really tired and going back to bed after walking the dogs. Feel like I've turned the corner now, though.

Woke up yesterday to 2+ inches of wet packed snow - by the end of the day it had completely melted from the driveway so no plowing needed. Should be totally gone in the next few days. Welcome to Spring in northeast PA!

    Time to open the pool!!
