I bought my 2012 ACCESS Cab TRD OFF Road from a dealer in Texas about six weeks ago and have been attempting to fix a shudder issue since I got it home. I changed the transmission fluid and filter. Added LubeGard Shudder fix and the shudder was still very noticeable between 20-40 mph. More on braking than decelerating. We put it on my son’s lift Saturday for the first time. The u joints were good. The center support bearing had minor play. But his good eyes discovered the 2” spacer was installed backwards by the dealership. I ordered a new support bearing and today decided to attempt to turn the spacer 180 degrees. It was a show because I have a floor jack and three jack stands. His lift is 30 miles away. After turning them around I took it for a test drive and was shocked the shudder was gone. Those spacers are tapered maybe 3/16”. 77307C68-99EB-4B4E-8386-BC037331857A.jpg

    2+1.

My 2013 Access Cab SR5 4X4 had the 3+1. It was an option that year and that was a commercial owned truck first.

The root issue was a u-joint with an excessive angle. Flipping the spacer brought the working angle of the u joint back into spec. Nice
