I put Alcan rear springs on the back of my 2020 Tacoma to steady my Kimbo (900 lbs.) camper. Man, what a vast improvement over the AirLift suspension kit I previously installed! The AirLifts kept shedding their diaphragms. The Alcsns are steady and forgiving at the same time.

Lew Weldon is the genius owner at Alcan in Grand Junction. Give him a holler. He’ll line you up with a custom build based on what you want to haul without overdoing specifications or your budget. The guys at Alcan call their builds “Angel Pillows” and they’ve got that right, too. I also added Timbren bumpers as suggested by Lew.

I also added aftermarket gas shocks from Olympus in Parker, Colorado They’re heavy duty and compliment the Alcan springs, especially when boondocking over tough ground. Great product but terrible customer service. The shocks arrived without mounting brackets and after three weeks of the owner claiming he’d sent them (twice), they never arrived and I had to cancel the install. I never got so much as an apology from Olympus for bungling the original shipment or the fictional shipments afterward.

Even so, very pleased with how the Kimbo rides! Can’t go wrong with Alcan and the team that Lew has put together in Grand Junction.
