Will 265/75/16 rub on 2013 Tacoma?

I have a 2013 Tacoma and my tires are 265/70/16. I want to get 265/75/16 tires as I need new ones. Will those rub on my pickup? And if they will rub how big of a leveling kit do I need to fix that problem? Pictures help a lot thanks!

They will work fine.

They *might* rub a little but in a easily fixable fashion. Seems specific tires' actual measurements vs the standard for that size matters as does suspension alignment settings.

 

If I get a 2” front and 1” rear kit will it eliminate rubbing? Also will it make the tires look small like some lifts do? Thanks!

I'm 265/17/16. Lifted 2.5" front and 1.5" rear. I still had to remove the little front fender mini flaps. I also replaced the stock flaps with shorty flaps from Rok Blokz.

EDIT: I have deep dish FN Five Stars, which caused my minimal rubbing up front at full clock reverse turn.

 

Im on 265/75R16 ST Maxx and they fill out my 2.5" all around truck nicely.

I do rub in the front in bumpy turns due to my alignment being off, but a buddy has same size tires and a slightly different alignment and no rubbing at all. It's all gonna be truck dependent to some degree.

Got my kit from Marie at Headstrong Offroad. OME 884 coils, Billstein 5100 shocks +1 notch, Deaver 1.5" AAL. I'd like to go back and put the fronts back at stock notch to give a slight rake.

 

on stock wheels, you will not rub. even with no lift.

Good point. I have FN Deep Dish Five Stars, hence my rubbing on the Lil front nubbies.

 

Forgot to mention this as well on mine. My wheels stick out farther than OEM.

They've ripped the factory AND nubby RB flaps off the front

 

yes for sure. i have run that size on two different tacomas before lifting, no issue on the stock wheels. anyone who rubs has aftermarket wheels with a different offset that sticks them out further, and thus causes rubbing when turning. you will be good! enjoy!

 

I had the exact same questions/concerns about 10 years ago. A 1.75 leveling kit or more will solve your problem. Stock/aftermarket wheels make a big difference.
I had 265/75/16 for about 2 weeks until I got mine lifted and it would rub only when turning and hitting a bump like going into the driveway everyday.

Yes people will say they will fit with no lift and stock wheels, and this is true. But aftermarket wheel typically stick out further and will cause rubbing issues (my situation).

Bottom line, you will need to remove both pairs of the front mudflaps and lift it 1.75 (minimum) in order for it to never rub. And it will look & function good
