    Hey y’all,

Just got me a 2021 TRD Sport and looking to lift it. My brother mentioned that Toyota’s factory 2” lift is the only one you can put on that keeps the sensors useable.

I want a taller lift than 2”, but also don’t want to sacrifice all the factory sensors that the truck is equipped with…any insight?

Only sensor that would be affected is the radar @ the front which can be aimed somewhat. You'd have more to worry about than sensors going much higher than that

Over 2-2.5" has potential for mechanical side effects.

And the Toyota lift is greatly overpriced.

It seems Toyota has done a good job with this upsell by using the magic words of 'warranty' and 'you can finance it'.

Both of which are as meaningful as abracadabra.

I’ll admit, I haven’t really done much research into the lift options yet, so forgive my ignorance. I was thinking a 3-4” would be ideal. What other worries might I have going higher then 2”?

This forum has a wealth of info so so I'm not going to go over it. People have already said it better than me but there's a lot of work and money to do anything above 2-2.5"

Purely anecdotal, but I have about a 3” lift on mine and all of my sensors seem to be working as they should.

Also from what I’ve read/ran into, above 3” you might run into issues with the brake lines being too short.

Lifts like mine came with extension brackets to accommodate that issue . All is well no worries
