New Tacoma owner. (2022 TRD Off-road) I've installed some 3rd party lighting front and back. Everything's on an independent circuit powered by the battery with an OEM switch added to an empty spot on the dash. I'd like to have the lights power down when the ignition is off as a backup so that the battery doesn't drain. I'm having trouble finding a good tutorial that explains a way to do this. Appreciate any advice!

Easiest method is to tap an existing ignition on only circuit for power to the switch that controls your relay. Ignition being turned off should then kill power through the switch whether its on or off, and the relay will open, disconnecting your accessories from power from the battery. You could use a wire tap, or an add-a-fuse from the fuse box, whatever method you prefer to have a clean install/depending on where you want to run your wiring.
