I use a foam gun with the power washer and most of the time don't even touch the truck ... which is not an option in the poll

HAHA Thanks! I'm a huge fan of the foam gun.. makes for quick washes and the less I touch the pain the better in my opinion. Detailing vehicles is an art and I don't do all the things I should but I get compliments on mine all the time - helps that I can take it to the fire station and wash it there LOL

    That sucks!
I bought replacement blades for mine but since it gets to 70 degrees, the snow goes away then we get another 3" of snow, I haven't bothered to switch it out yet.

I have a touch free car wash close to the house. It still doesn't get washed often enough.

I prefer to wash by hand in the driveway but cooler months I blast the dirt off at self service car wash, then scrub with was microfiber sponge.
Have so much to do but instead of tackle the job of stabbing that transmission back in, I'm going to do front brakes, rotors, calipers and pads on daughter's Jeep. Daughter been using my car this week for school because fuel pump on Jeep quit pumping. I had to let the dealership fix because just too many irons in the fire. Also on agenda is tire rotation on two or three vehicles, top off battery charge on riding mowers and get them put back in the mowers.
Always so much to do. I wanted to get that transmission put back in priority but today we have constant 40-50 mph wind with higher gust. I'd rather have a nice day dealing with getting that trans stobbed back in there.

I wonder what the bill is going to be for that fuel pump replacement? Any guess? I'm going to guess $750.00 and figure it could be a little less to a little over a grand.

Little bit of this and that
    Re: Poll

Pressure washer/foam cannon followed by a hand wash. I've run it through an automatic wash exactly twice in my ownership and I felt dirty doing it both times. If I'm out of town or pressed for time I use a self serve to just blast most of the junk off and then hit it with the quick detailer and a microfiber.

I have hit a lot of stuff over the years -- the worst was a steel cable dog tie out. Ever notice the damn things are generally Green, kind of like the grass, who the :censored: thought of that brilliant idea??

Naturally it was an in town lawn so I didn't have many tools with me. I put the mower 1/2 up on the trailer ramp and worked on untangling that mess for 1/2 an hour -- bleeding and swearing all the way.

When we bought our house and had the only company that provided internet to our area installed the line from the pedestal to our house, they went the long way around so they wouldn't go over the driveway. It was winter so they said they come back in the spring to bury it. Didn't show, called them, said they'd come, didn't, repeat.

Two summers I had to avoid that stupid line.

Finally a different company started providing service to our area so I got the new one installed and canceled the idiots. Told them they needed to remove their line. Didn't. Cut the stupid thing. They never did come.
