Hi guys, I just joined the cool kid club and bought my first Tacoma. Hope I can get some advice from you. I think it would look cooler with some bigger tires but have never changed tire sizes on a vehicle. It currently has P245/75r16 tires and they just don't look sexy. What would you suggest? Do I need new rims? Do I need to lift the truck or should I? Can I go wider without changing the speedometer. Is it hard to adjust the speedometer to match bigger wheels. I think off road tires look cool but won't be doing much off roading. Are there tires that have that look but are smooth on the road? Man, sorry I have so many questions. 20220424_070558.jpg 20220424_070549.jpg 20220424_070604.jpg

Any tire bigger than stock, width or height, will change fuel economy for the worse, and a slight loss of power due to the "change in gear ratio" due to bigger tires. Also the bigger tires weigh more, and will hurt acceleration and braking and by how much id determined by how much bigger you go. If you are going just for looks, do it just realize it will affect milage. Lifts also change handling and fuel economy. Ultimately it is your truck and do what you will, just know there are tradeoffs. My 21 2wd will stay stock height and stay with stock size tires, but i did just purchase all terrains to try out on back roads. Good luck and have fun with your new toy.

You could go 265/70/16 with zero issue. Or 265/75/16 if you want just a smidge taller tire.
