    What lift do I buy?
I picked up a tacoma about a month ago and I’m loving it. I definitely want to enjoy it while it’s stock for a bit, but I also am dying to get some more clearance so I’m starting to do some research on what lift to get. I heard to run 35s you need to run at least a 5” lift, and that to install a 5” lift you have to drop the subframe? If someone could confirm or deny that, that would be great. Ideally I want to try to get some 35s in there but I’ll settle for 33s, which I’ve heard can be accomplished with a 3” lift. I don’t want to spend an arm and a leg on some kings or anything like that, so what’s a budget friendly but “quality” lift to buy that will get me where I want to go? Thanks!

Get a full dobinsons setup for a quality lift. Reach out to @Crikeymike if you need help with picking the right parts for your build. Expect to spend > $2000 to do it right. You'll want UCAs too. I spent months figuring out exactly what I wanted and I couldn't find one complaint about dobinsons parts. After going that route I can see why. Every other suspension vendor had a long list of lengthy complaints from at least a few people on here.
