    If everything goes according to plan I’m going to pull the camper up to the mountains for a few days of me time. There will be fishing grilling possibly hiking and cocktails and did I mention fishing! I’ve got a few things to get out of the way today and then I’m grabbing some groceries and will be ready to get gone tomorrow morning.

    Temps are back in the 40s. We had 2 nice days with windows open and furnace off.
    Only a two days of working this week. :thumbsup:. Wednesday we're flying to Austin TX. Meeting the parents of our future daughter in law. We'll being staying near Dripping Springs and spending some time near Hondo TX.

    Maybe this is a good thing, though it might not seem that way. One of the other managers here (I work in a VA data center) is retired Army (infantry), and ended up needing a double knee replacement (he was 58 at the time, 62 now). His weight had ballooned up to 350 because of inactivity, and he needed a scooter because any weight put on his knees was excruciating. The VA did lap-band surgery on him (to help him get down to 250), and then they did his knee replacements (one at a time).

    He just came back to the building after 2 years away due to being a high COVID risk. I didn't recognize him. He was down to about 200 and feels fantastic. He explained that they had to remove his band because it slipped. He didn't need it after that anyway because he walks a mile every night with his dogs. Said the greatest thing about it is that he isn't in pain anymore.

    Whatever happens, I hope that the end result is a better quality of life for you.
