Realtor called us about bad smelling a/c. Half million dollar home . Come to find out the previous owners cats had been popping down the registers and the duct work had a bunch still in it. We made real good money on that job.

An old widow had been lonely so long that she decided she would end it all. She called the hospital to find the location of her heart. Doctor said it just below your left breast. The neighbors called the EMTs when they heard the gunshot. They arrived to find that she had shot herself in the knee.

Back when I worked in HVAC, we got a job to insulate an elderly womans duct work in the attic. She kept yelling at us "don't you touch my Lenox" she wound up calling Greensboro PD on us

Built in 1936, the circle is still in the basement floor from the coal boiler. I just don't even want to think about all the gremlins that might pop up if we go replacing ductwork. Like electrical gremlins....from knob and tube...yeah, the house needs rewired too.

My first house was built in 1923. Oil furnace, no A/C, knob and tube. We replaced it with a gas furnace with A/C. Fortunately the basement wasn't finished. Didn't touch the wiring, though.

What do you plan on doing with this, just staying in it at the hunting club to get out of a house?

We would stay in dads at an old club we were in many years ago just for that reason.

We had knob and tube in the house we had in Mississippi; it was a mess! Someone fiddled with the fuse box and pretty much bypassed the fuses. We never changed it out :spy:

The old place I live in was once owned by "an electrician"...

I find that when you buy something from a tradesman things are one of two ways.

    1) A-J squared away -- this guy is tired of people wanting to cheap out and his stuff isn't that way.
    2) He knows how to make it work and doesn't want to spend anything -- "a piece of this, a used that"...

Guess which guy owned my house.

Basically make it a weekend home base to hunt out of, fish and shrimp from and spot to bug out to. My Fil and Bil both have campers/trailers directly across a little path 100 yards from me.

It's also a place I'm thinking I'll be able to lock up and leave my guns. The property is across the street from my lease and the guy that owns the land lives on site year round so he keeps an eye out. Because I cant bring firearms onto space center property, in the past I would have to drive 30 mins south from work to my house, get guns, to drive an hour to my lease.

Now I will be able to shower at work, hit the road Friday afternoon at 315 and be in the stand for that 4-630 Friday window that I pretty much missed all last season.

Here's a little better look, 25 footer with two entrance points. My fil is convinced I could clean it up a bit and get 45-5500 out of it but I've priced these things, I'm not sure I could do much better with 5k in my hand. And knowing how my ac guy is, clean, sanitary, orderly yeh this was a no brainer.
