If you haven’t already, get a skull cap too. Also wear clear safety glasses under your hood for extra protection both from UV and slag, and in-ear plugs to keep from burning a hole in your ear drums.

I've been wearing a baseball cap backwards, but need to just pull the trigger on the skull cap because the brim can get in the way. I did start wearing plugs after welding with my head sideways for the sliders and I got a respirator which made a much bigger difference than I was expecting. clean air is very nice

Worth its weight in gold. I originally got it from burning my scalp doing cmc’s.

For glasses I wear these. I bought a pack in 2020 and still have half of the box. I’m always wearing them in the garage and just throw them away when they get scratched. Impact resistant (which I’ve tested) and block UV rays. If you accidentally flash yourself or have it reflecting up under your hood from a light colored shirt, this’ll protect your eyes from getting sunburned.

I love the internet, it's so handy. On the tundra, I just had to make a simple jumper and now one of my power outlets is always hot. I'm going to steal the dometic from betty and put it in the tundra for long drives and I wanted the fridge to stay powered when I park for a bit.

Should bust out the Amex and pick up a National Luna 125L for the Tundy. You could fit your whole costco trip in it!

Bold of you to assume I go grocery shopping and don't eat all my meals at CFA.

Speaking of fuse boxes...any idea hownto disassemble the fuse box on the taco? I need to get access to the wiring on the underside of mine.

I honestly haven’t a clue, sorry. If I remember tomorrow when I’m in front of my laptop I’ll do some digging.

We were allowed to take some leave since we've been deployed since last July. I'm back in Japan again and will be here until probably Julyish.

That’s good at least, I’m sure that was a much needed trip since you’ve been gone for so long. I totally get it, on some level. Kara and I were long distance for a year and a half and the goodbyes after seeing each other were the worst.

It's the literal worst. It makes it harder because my first mate has been MIA.

I have done a little digging and have a general idea, but would really like a more concrete walk through. I need to run a new 12 g wire from my Heater relay to the blower motor to eliminate the possibility of a fault/short behind the dash. My hope is this will give my my blower motor back and I will just run a permanent new wire through the firewall and dash so I have my AC back.

Trying to polish the turd as much as I can to maximize my dollars when I hawk it for a Tundra. Lol
