It's not really a question of product, but form factor. I want something quick kind of like touch up paint. Something I can just dab on real quick while working. Not something where I have to dig a brush out from somewhere. I would do touch up paint, but it doesn't dry real quick.

Green light is for "this" weekend 4/30 or "next" weekend 5/7? My wife and I have a big debate all the time over what "this" vs "next" weekend means. I'm planning to go this Saturday 4/30 on my way back from seeing my son.

If it's Monday through Friday, "this weekend" means the upcoming Saturday and Sunday.

If it's Saturday or Sunday, "this weekend" means the weekend you are currently experiencing.

Are there people who feel differently?!

This debate happens at my house all the time. I've just resorted to, "I told you I was doing such and such this weekend!" This part usually happens as I'm walking out the door.

I would not be available for this impending weekend. That would be the 30th of April in the year of our lord 2022. For the weekend of 7 May, I'm not sure. I do not have a mother, but I am married to one. There could be plans. Or expectations of plans.

What's the debate though? What is the other side to this argument? It seems so straightforward.

It gets worse when there's a wife involved. Our solution (and I wish I was kidding) is to make calendar events on our phones and invite the other half. There's never any confusion that way.

We do the same, to be honest. Our calendars are shared with each other and it's super helpful, mostly because my wife's work schedule is always changing.

That's a horrible idea. What time?
We have a shared calendar through Google Calendar. With work schedules the way they have been for us, and weekend events, etc., it just makes sense. Once the calendar is shared, if you post something it's there automatically for whoever you shared the calendar with.

And this weekend for us is the one at the end of the week we're in. next is the one after.

I feel much more normal now. Ideally, if we just listened to each other this wouldn't be a problem. But why do the right thing when there's technology?

Listening to each other is over-rated. It's much better for all involved to remain self-centered and isolated. (Posted from a dark corner in the basement.)
