Edit: I'm hopefully moving to a trailer and will be pulling these drawers. I won't be saving them so whoever wants them for a reasonable offer can have them. I will help install them with you in your truck.

I'm toying with the idea of getting rid of my drawer system that I made in the spring of 2020. It isn't perfect, but has been solid and performed as I wanted it to. Lately I've just been missing being able to use the truck as a truck for dirty and large items in the bed, while also saving some weight.

Essentially I'd be selling the drawer slides, with the added bonus of using my build if you want or you can cannibalize it however you want. These are the drawer slides I used. I have two sets installed, one for each side. I paid close to $500 for these slides with shipping. Plus all the lumber and hardware.

My truck is a short bed.

Always the wrong coast. I too wish I was in Montana.

Bumping this up as I am hopefully buying a trailer this weekend and will be pulling these drawers from my truck. Make me a reasonable offer and they're yours as I don't want to be holding on to this unit. Local pickup at my house and I'll help you install them.

That’s a great build! I’m on the West Coast too, would have jumped on this if it was here.

I’m curious what drawer sliders did you use? I tried making a drawer that just uses friction pads underneath but it’s tearing them up.

They’re not light. Definitely around 100 pounds I would guess.

No plans to head that way unfortunately.

The slides I used are linked in my first post.

thanks- you do pretty nice woodwork. What type of corner joints/supports on the shelves did you use? Also, are the dividers set in grooves?

Corners are just pocket screws. Main floor of the shelves are supported by a groove cut with a router, and yes the dividers are set in similar grooves.

Hey- thanks for the drawer slider reference, I build a single wide low profile shelf with them that is almost as wide as my floor under my platform and it works very well! I made it out of scrap wood though, and it does not look anywhere as nice as yours but it’s functional.

Someone is going to get a great deal with yours, it’s beautiful!
