    Good morning folks!
    The morels have just barely started to pop up here in Michigan. I have a few spots in the woods up at my cabin that produce pretty well. I usually start hunting them on Mother's Day weekend. A good drizzly morning can yield a hundred individuals or more. I don't eat mushrooms at all (well, maybe a few times back in my twenties :rolleyes:) but I used to collect them for my mother every year to make mushroom soup. Now that she is gone I have friends and other relatives waiting in the wings to see how many I get each year. We're heading up for a long weekend for my b-day next week. My wife will be still be sleeping each morning while I'll have been in the woods for an hour or two. lol
