Yes, I try and make the most of all my Baja trips... even if they are just for a few days. The big deal here was just getting back to Baja after two dry years... what with Covid and lack of income! It was so cool that my first trip back, post Covid shut downs, was to my favorite mission and toughest 14-mile-road in Baja (that goes to a mission)!
    Thanks for commenting!
TW members, help me get back to Baja more, buy my book (now with color images inside)! ;) Ha! www.oldmissions.com

Love your reports. They are always so over the top and very appreciated!

I was down there at the same time, nearly in the same area at times. The San Felipe race kept me from going to find the springs west off the large salina flats (Agua Caliente area). Was planning to exit to 5 from that huge river wash that comes out a bit north of Puertocitas. Santa Maria looked interesting but I was leery of the bog and water. Your pics of widowmaker look reasonable (even with the camera flattening the actual reality) from what I've done over many years past. Found some great new things and revisited old favorites. Thought I was near La Pasion when I was at Santa Maria de Toris, and the locals were giving me funny looks about why I was interested in their church. Funny how things can get scrambled in the moment. I want to go to the end of that road one of these trips to find the Mision de los Delores site. Thanks for all your efforts and information!

I have a good 4k slow fly around Santa Gertrudis if you want video for your use or archive. Cheers!
