At least I know these one fit good. It didn't come with enough of the padded washers though maybe enough for 30 definitely not 50
But it will still work without

 

Pulled engine and tranny today, of course forgot to toss throttle body in the mail today so will be shipping it out to Maxbore tomorrow…. Then for the dreaded engine bay scuffing and painting. I think black will end up being color of choice for easy touch up down the road.

Swapped my hard top camper for a soft top camper for the summer, reduce some weight for wheeling season.

 

I did black in the engine bay as well. Time consuming... but you'll thank yourself after you get the JDM engine in.

 

You’re not wrong about it being time consuming. I’m hoping I can wrap most of the painting up in the next couple of days. I got started on the passenger side fender apron and then quickly got sidetracked on frame and front diff cleaning.

While it’ll be nice to have an engine that holds its oil, those old valve covers sure did a great job of protecting my frame from rust.

@Dan8906 I love driving my 2nd Gen without the shell that I usually have on it - it feels more responsive and feels like so much body roll is gone but I keep the shell for functionality reasons despite this
