    Good morning fellow Porchatonians!!

Dropped the Echo off at the shop and found a way to spend more money - I'll explain and post a pic when it's all set up.

We had snow flurries and sleet/hail yesterday off and on. Today is supposed to be in the upper 40s. Ugh.

Heading to the college's student-run restaurant tonight for dinner - always a great experience!

    Good Morning 6 :hattip:

Little early there, even for you.;)

Absolutely beautiful wx here the last two weeks. :notsure: Not going into cabin this break, but will help Danny with logistics getting shtuff to trailhead and loaded in/on SUSVEE. Other commitments in town prevent the overnighter this week.

I'll pull the wagon around for your big reveal later.

Be safe, healthy, and most importantly happy!

    RESPECT:oldglory:

Good morning, Rob!! This is actually my normal time - got a little lazy on vacation and was a bit under the weather last week. Back to normal now.

Our weather has been a roller coaster - just when you think it's warming up we plunge back into 303 and 40s with snow flurries. Looks like we start warming up tomorrow and consistently into the 60s next week....when we normally open the pool.

    Enjoy that beautiful weather!!!!

Once a soldier always a soldier I reckon.
WilCo on enjoying the current weather. My problem as a mid-shifter I'm naturally up half the night even on days off, then can't sleep decent during the day with the beautiful weather induced Spring Fever...gotta get up and do something, anything. Makes me a "combat napper" this time of year.

Take care and enjoy your day, Sir. :)

    Nice!
When I was a kid, the a neighbor had an old Sunbeam electric mower.
He ended up chopping off part of his toes when he was mowing with flip-flops.
Mower sounded like a jet turbine.

Here's my backup to a backup mower.
Horizontal Briggs out of an early 60's snowblower.
Usually starts on 2nd pull and nothing cuts like a reel mower.

My father was ecologically conscious long before it was popular so we didn't have a gas mower.

In my youth I spent many hours sweating behind this "Silent" Scotts, not bad on a flat lawn that needs a trim -- absolutely brutal on any grade or a lawn that got long.

I mowed every lawn in a neighborhood filled with people who were either old, retired or dead -- all of them cheap!
One lady with a huge double lot would give me $2 and a stick of gum -- yes a stick, not a pack.

    Morning
My yearly fight with raccoons and skunks has begun.
Need to repair the front lawn every few days from the digging.
I’m getting tired of 2 hours of work only to have it happen again.
What sucks even more is it’s the best part of my front lawn on the property.
I’m not a fake house kinda guy but it does look like shit.
Grub killer and what not doesn’t deter them from exploring.
Every time I get up to pee I look outside and see if I can see the “enemy”
Eventually it works out but dam.. LOL

I worked with a fellow who put a lot of effort in his garden -- and had an ongoing war with woodchucks.
He kept a 12 gauge in the bathroom and "from the seated position" could do the sniper thing out the window.

One day while sitting there reading the Readers Digest he observed a woodchuck and dispensed with it in the usual manner, unknown to him (and it wouldn't have mattered anyway) downstairs his wife was visiting with a lady from the church.

BOOM -- directly above her head
Lady: "My goodness! What was that?"
Wife: "Just my husband in the bathroom..."

Why don't you pee on the enemy? It got to be worst than the skunk spray.

When I was young, on one visit to my cousin's home in PA, my uncle had a 30-06 set up on sandbags on the front covered porch. Seems there was a Groundhog in his corn field. The rifle was set on the groundhog's den. When he popped up out of the hole, no more groundhog. He was content to drink beer and watch for the groundhog.

    Dinner from last night.
