    Morning all:
Darn, just looked at the current fuel oil price, it just made a big jump after going down a bit and right now it's at $5.24 gal., GEEZ! :( :annoyed: :spending:
At least I'm good for awhile, but when I need to fill the tank I don't think it's going to be anywhere near the $2.549 prepay that they had in the fall or the $2.999 that I filled at, oh well, it's only money!

I just got oil 10 min ago.
    Thank god for a contract.
    About 50% savings right now.
Next year I’m sure I’ll need axle grease for my butt.

:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch Pals & Gals! Today, I'll get started on the truck.... got lights off and on the umbrellas yesterday, then the Chromebook came. By that time, there was only time to play with stickers on the tool boxes!

@Tacoma Mike ; One or two of these, strategically placed, and set to stream - not sprinkle. Has worked pretty well. And fun to watch on camera.

Those who got prepay in the fall are extremely happy right now, I think they will be needing plenty of that grease also come this fall! I've been waiting for coal to also make a big jump in price, I live right on the edge of the "coal region" of Pa. and so far the price in our area isn't as bad as places that are a little further away. Last year my coal man had a buy early price where it was the same as the year before, will see what happens this year. :fingerscrossed:

Morning Folks. We have natural gas and at first, it was real reasonable, but within the last few months, it's gone through the roof. Hopefully we will have a mild fall and winter. That is all I'm going to say before I get into the "land of No Return" beware.GIF

    Morning Ken:
This year I am burning more coal than prior years, usually I go through about 3 1/2 T a year, so one year I order 4 tons and the next year 3 tons which will take me through 2 winters. This year was the 4 ton year and I am getting low on coal and will need to order 4 tons in the fall instead of the usual 3 in order to make it through next winter.

WTH, just checked the fuel oil price and it is now up to $5.499  !

Built a new house about 5 years ago and compared oil, electric, propane and heat pump for heating. Operating cost for A/A heat pump was significantly less than everything else and has proven to be the right choice for year round comfort.

Well this part of my new system is working out. All the hardware for this little project right where I can find it, identified for return to use!

    RESPECT:oldglory:

I mowed lawns and did yardwork from 12yo 'til I went to work at Ukrops Supermarket at 16yo. And my primary employer got me the interview for that job. Dr Clarence Monk taught me so much about job intergrity, hard work, and satisfaction in a job well done. I learned much more from him than my own father, sadly. God Bless & RIP Dr Monk.

I basically ran away from home and joined the Air Force when I graduated HS at 18yo. No regrets.

Almost forgot I wanted to note on this - Brother in Law in Michigan did Geothermal system; hoses run all around the yard on a hill. It's plenty warm in winter, and cool enough in summer (I know, not hard in Michigan, but they are warmer than ever). That's all I know about it, but it works great and costs literally nothing.

Delivered papers, towed a reel mower to several customers tied to my bike to make a few extra bucks. All bigger than our yard, damn I worked cheap, and they didn't tip....

Old guy needs a little help. I've got over 50 posts, but I'm still not allowed to create a post on buy/sell/trade. I don't see a way to contact a moderator. Do I say something political so they ban me to open a dialogue or...?
