You’ll be fine as long as you use antiseize, the right oil, and torque everything exactly to spec.

 

We actually had a guy come up to the shop that had tried to jump start his car with a cut off extension cord plugged into his house it didn't sound like it ended well for the car.

Inverters only work to convert 12v DC to 110v A/C I've never seen one that works in reverse, that would be called a battery charger

 

They're called a converter, believe it or no. Common thing to have on campers. So, I can find a 15A adapter to plug into my 30A RV cable, plug my camper to the house, then run jumper cables from the camper battery to the truck battery, and then jump start it.

Easy peasy.
