    I currently have yellow lights in the stock fog housing and one of the bulbs is going bad. Instead of replacing the bulb I have been interested in the yellow Baja design fogs that I have seen in a bunch of Tacomas. When I looked online, there are a ton of different options. I will be using mine for driving on road and some dark trail driving every now and again. What are everyone’s recommendations

    Have you tried the switch backs yellow/white led bulbs?

    I believe that’s what I have in my truck now but don’t like the chrome housing. Thought the Baja design look was sharp but see there are the “cornering, pro, combo, sport” etc models

    Hey Sah3167,
    What year is your truck? How often are you planning on using the lights on road vs off-road?
    How/where do you feel you lack light the most? Meaning do you want the light for distance or closer in to the vehicle?
    This can help narrow down the many options.

    Thanks for reaching out! Much appreciated. I have my dogs on anytime that my headlights are on and so 80% road driving and 20% off-road. 2016 Tacoma sport DCLB. When I turn my current fogs on, they have very little impact on anywhere that I can actually see. I want a good bright driving setup that isn’t too bright for oncoming traffic but bright enough to light for off-road use for the 20% of time and something really noticeable to help see the road better ahead of me, not directly down from my bumper. Thanks a million!

    Okay great that is very useful information. What state do you live in or geographic area? On a typical drive Do you find yourself in dusty, foggy, snowy conditions at all?

    Okay great,
    Their are two options that you may be interested in;

    SAE is intended for on road use and can be used for light off-road as well. The SAE is designed to be optimized more for on road use than the ambers. With the SAE you are limited to the SAE lens and it can not be swapped out for any other style

    The benefit of the Amber, is it is great for both on road and off road, but is more intended to cut through the foggy, snowy and dusty conditions that you may encounter. You can replace or swap out the lenses of the amber to optimize light projection.

    Where do you find you would benefit the most, are you looking for something that is better for on road or something that is designed more for adverse driving conditions?

    Mostly on road use. Sounds like SAE are best bet

    I think that will work great, I can help place that order for you if you would like.
