    I don’t know about other states but here in NM the plates are registered to the owners, not the vehicle. When we sell something we are “supposed” to put it on the new one or turn it in to DMV.
    It doesn’t work that way when the dealership charges you for TTL and sends in the paperwork themselves. I just don’t worry about it and send it to Bob.
