68k miles and I'm still on the original set with lots of pad life left. I also do a lot of highway miles, but still. Just goes to show it all depends on how you drive it.

I mean, if you're cooking brakes with just a 2500 pound trailer...

I just asked if anyone has had the same issue. I did not ask for advise on driving and never stated I was driving with a trailer. I will be taking it to Toyota in the next 2 weeks. I will give updates then.

Trashed mine in about the same amount of miles. Tons of pad left but rotors were torched. Throw on some cryo treated slotted (not drilled) rotors with new pads and they’ll take care of the problem for good.

I've never had warped rotors on any of the 4wd compact toyota pickups or my 2020 tacoma yet, and i pull a couple different trailers at times. Had them on my 2001 tundra with the stock rotors pulling trailers, but that truck was noted for brake issues. Biggest issue that warps rotors is overheating them.....being hard on the brakes for long periods. I went to EBC drilled, and slotted rotors for the tundra. Never had another brake issue, plus the pad life was fantastic.

So far I haven’t had the problem with my Tacoma, 40k miles on it. I have a modified TRD OR, an extra 600lbs , RTT, skids, rock rails, front bumper and winch, fridge on it all the time. I run 265/75/16 10ply tires.

We live at 7500ft and if you drive more than 25 miles from the house, your going over a mountain pass. In the past with a GX470 modify had the same problem, I changed to Power Stop cross drill and slotted rotors and some good pads. My wife’s GX460 stock, every 60k miles it happens, I just change out the rotors and pads and it’s good for another 60k miles. The Power stop system last twice as long as the stock system. You can’t say it the way we drive, it’s a know problem in the GX.
