This takes the cake as the craziest thing I've encountered at a car show; I was not involved and walked up right after the cops arrived. So, in case some of you don't know, weed is now totally legally in New Jersey if you are 21 or older; Unless you are a licensed dispensary, it is only legal to sell 16 grams or less if I remember correctly. This happened yesterday afternoon; These kids (probably late teens or early 20s) were selling weed at the annual spring swap meet at Raceway Park in Englishtown, New Jersey; They had a UHAUL truck containing way more than the legal amlunt of weed, but this was the least of their problems. This tall thin white kid was apparently the boss, and his associates were a couple of large black kids. They had a 2018 that belonged to one of the poor bastards' moms, and the aforementioned UHAUL; So, again, I only saw the aftermath...

From what I gathered chatting with people who did witness this, an altercation ensued between these three kids and a female customer; I never saw the woman. This altercation resulted in a substantial amount of weed being scattered all over the ground around the booth, and the white kid pulled out what was later confirmed to be a Glock 17-style airsoft gun; The moron fired the airsoft gun at the woman, hitting her several times and drawing blood. Somebody inevitably called 911 and Old Bridge Police responded promptly. Seeing a marked Crown Vic (yes, it was actually a Crown Vic; I was shocked) parked in the middle of the swap meet is what drew my attention. I counted two police Tahoes, the aforementioned Crown Vic, and probably half a dozen uniformed officers in total, and by the time I walked up the three kids were sitting on the back bumper of the UHAUL. Apparently, the airsoft gun was stashed in the BMW, and the kids understandably would not let the cops search the BMW; The cops threatened to impound the BMW and get a search warrant, and the thought of mommy's car getting taken away changed their mind. The gun was found, but the back of the UHAUL truck was locked and they claimed their friend had the key to padlock. The consensus among bystanders was that they did have the keys and were merely prolonging the inevitable to make things more difficult for the police.

Last the I saw before getting bored and heading back to my truck, the white kid and one black kid were handcuffed and placed in police vehicles, and the police were communicating with a judge via phone to get a search warrant for the UHAUL.

At the same venue (Raceway Park) probably five years ago, at a huge diesel truck show, I saw a couple of guys who'd been drinking and had a beef with each other get into a fistfight; However, their friends broke it up and dispersed before venue security or the local police became aware.

Sounds like you had a great day and productive too. I haven't heard of someone using a Hibachi in years, had kind of forgotten about them.

    The vintage stove looks awesome!
Don't know the actual rules for tank usage, I think I would prefer it to be outside if only for the convenience of not having it taking up space.

    Evenin' PA!

No thunderstorms or severe weather here, but a couple good rain showers. All this rain really is bringing out the previous owners gardening. Alot of it is overgrown and I need to carefully cut it out or trim it, but none-the-less is growing in nicely!

It may have been made my York, but it's an old Coleman branded R-22 unit. Unfortunately it's about done for. The inside unit is rusted almost completely out. It still works, but is on borrowed time. Next unit will be AC with a heat pump to reduce oil usage on the boiler. The oil boiler will be the backup heat when it gets really cold. About a $10K replacement all said and done unfortunately...

I dont like this legalized weed idea. Maybe I'm old fashion, but it seems to invite trouble. We have a Lt governor who wants in the worse way to legalize it. We have enough issues with booze and illegal weed n drugs . Hope the woman is ok but seems like no one got hurt badly.

That's actually what I would recommend you do!

    :fistbump:

Coleman is one of the names that York sells HVAC equipment under; Another one is Luxaire. The era of York in which your unit was built is good in my opinion, but I don't much care for York anymore. You can't go wrong with a Carrier or a Trane... ;)

I've got no problem with weed being legalized, but what I do have a problem with us punk kids whose morals seem to have gone directly out the window!

I'm afraid also of what could become of the kids. We have this medical CBD place about 7 miles away and it's always busy with folks staggering I mean walking out . I'm all for raising our standards and morals not lowering them.

Heh, well that's some good information to know!

I'm going to stretch out replacement as long as I can. It might last 1 more season, or 5, who knows. It cools really well. But I popped back the cover on the inside unit in the attic the other day and it's really rusty in there. No sense in spending money on a R-22 unit. We'll see when time comes. I have some backup window AC units from the old place as an emergency plan.

My theory is people these days spend so much time on social media that they can't differentiate between the internet and real life; A prime example would be a fat drunk guy who came up to my truck at the Carlisle Truck Nationals last August, and among other things called me a "fucking commie" for driving a Toyota truck with an American flag license plate on the front.

No, that would be the other Adam around here, can't remember the screen name.

I work in industrial maintenance. Work on conveyors and such. However the big boss at work knows several guys and I got a list of names when the time comes. Good to know in case!
