Believe me, a Readers Digest of the work. I ordered my Clazzio covers in December, they came in April. I got the carpet from Stock Interiors (.com), and the floor mats were the only "black" ones I could find on EBay, after the cheap mat fiasco. I thought red TRD would be cool - the dealer said that is "black" - only "black" they offered. I quit arguing. Some more trim work to do, but I almost finished being a upholstery shop!

I got about 5 hours in the seat today, pun intended and it was windy as heck.

It is just sad….hope everyone has a great day. I am headed back home to see my grandmother with dementia who gas taken a turn for the worst. Let’s hope she remembers me still. At least she is still physically healthy still.

Some trim up to do today, and put "stuff" back in the cubbies. I'm sore! I'm stiff! My hands hurt!
I'll bet I'll feel better when I get to drive it on some work errands though.

Safe travels bud, dementia sucks, my wife's grandmother had it and I have an uncle with it, definitely takes a toll on everyone, but being physically healthy helps and is good.

Yeah, I' quoting myself so you don't have to do do-overs.
OK, so if you Google THIS particular thing, you will find very little, except a TW from @GHOST SHIP , so, props to you sir!

So, why? After all this work? That's as clean as this old stuff will get. Sick of it.



You are NOT tucking stuff into old inserts. No matter the trim tool, not happening. So, you take off the door panels, AND,





That's right. The panel is heat staked in place. He used a 3/8" Speed bit - I used a 7/16" after trying the 3/8". He had important words....PATIENCE, PATIENCE, PATIENCE.
You will bork at least one on each attempt. Not to worry, they are not all needed for support.
After cleaning, I used a #8 screw. 1/2" to start, 3/4" at worst. But. PATIENCE AND CHECK AS YOU GO. I tipped through in a few spots, but, not really visible at a couple feet. And, that happened with 1/2"! The BEST screw is #6, 1/2" tops' because you can easily max out the stakes. JUST DO IT GENTLY, CHECK EACH PROGRESS. Use some double sided tape to hold the insert in position, fasten a couple screws, and turn over and smooth as you go.







Aaaaaand repeat 3 more times. Sorry for the detail, my mind is on my Digest feed! SO, what do we get?





And you know why I do all this? Because it's LBR's 15'th Birthday!!!
